Three decades of judgment. The fundamentals have not changed. The tools have.

Independent senior consultant since 2000. Through every major shift in enterprise IT — physical, virtualized, cloud, agentic. Today: data management for the systems that have to survive, and agentic AI engineering for what you want to build next.

About

Thirty years of building data infrastructure that does not fail.

I started in IT in 1996 and moved to consulting independently in 2000. Across mining, public safety, government, education, financial services, retail, and food service, I have designed, deployed, and recovered enterprise data systems for organizations that cannot afford to lose data.

The technology has shifted three times in those decades — physical to virtualized, virtualized to cloud, manual administration to AI-driven orchestration. The fundamentals — engineering discipline, careful design, measured deployment, real testing — have not. That is what I bring to every engagement.

Certified specialist in enterprise storage, virtualization, and backup since 2000 — 20+ vendor certifications across VMware, NetApp, EMC, IBM, HP, Hitachi, Commvault, NetBackup, and others.

Services

Two practices. One engineer. Same standards.

Data Management

For the systems that have to survive.

  • Data migration projects
  • Data protection architecture and implementation
  • Backup strategy reviews
  • Disaster recovery & runbook design
  • Data lifecycle management
  • Virtualization best practices
  • Shared storage architecture and deployment
  • Vendor selection for data and storage platforms

Tools depth includes Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup, NetApp ONTAP, VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and every major enterprise storage / backup platform since 2000.

Agentic AI Engineering

Practical AI adoption for small and mid-size businesses.

  • Multi-model orchestration — Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot routed via Mixture of Experts (MoE) architecture to match each task to the best-fit model
  • Chain-of-Thought (CoT) prompting for structured, business-grade reasoning and reliable outputs
  • Knowledge graph integration: Obsidian vaults, Google NotebookLM, and Graphipy connected as a unified knowledge layer
  • Agent design: configuring skills, hooks, memory, and multi-step reasoning pipelines
  • Practical deliverables: browser extensions and production-ready web apps

I guide small and mid-size businesses through practical AI adoption — not as an LLM researcher, but as an engineer who configures these systems to deliver real business results.

For network infrastructure, cybersecurity audits, cloud migration execution, application development, and helpdesk services — I work with a trusted network of partners.

After months of us struggling with the issue, George resolved it in an embarrassingly short time — and showed us how much of our backup configuration was not optimal. In hindsight, we should have hired him much earlier.

Paul Project Lead, public pension fund

His appetite for embracing and continuously learning new technologies keeps him at the forefront of architecting solutions that exceed clients' expectations.

Steve President, franchising group

Because George has experience with such a wide range of technologies, he can analyze individual business problems and build a case for the best-fit solution. He is also very good at transferring knowledge to full-time staff.
